836-horsepower, 7.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 and a manual gearbox.

Those are the jaw-dropping specifications of the newly unveiled Aston Martin Victor Meldrew.
Ok, I added in the Meldrew bit and it's a bit of a hollow joke, as there is nothing old-aged-pensioner about this car.
The one-off masterpiece, for a very special Aston Martin customer, has been built by AM's Q-Commission, their bespoke department that builds it's most special machines.
The eye catching design apes the 1980s Vantage of the British manufacturer, but has been given a very modern and extremely aggressive twist.
The underpinning of the car are of a One-77 prototype, a limited run super-car Aston released in 2009, that has been reworked for this new car. It also shares that car's engine, which has also been completely reworked by Cosworth to produce that 836bhp figure, up from the 750bhp it produced in the donor vehicle.
The biggest shock is the 6-speed manual gearbox, which for every die-hard petrol-head is like manna from heaven.
Here's hoping the development that went into mating the gearbox to that engine is no one-off and Aston decide to produce some more special cars with the same set-up, no doubt they would easily find buyers.
The car was unveiled at today's Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in London.
Any other manufacturers hoping to make a surprise unveiling at the event over the weekend is going to have a tough time beating this show-stopper.
